The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office has determined that a fire on Tuesday that destroyed an abandoned house in Leesburg was caused by arson, county officials said in a statement. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries in the blaze, which caused $280,000 in damage, according to the fire marshal.

The Loudoun County Department of Animal Services is seeking information regarding the identity of a woman who may have information regarding the possible abandonment of a cat in a parking lot in Sterling. Animal Services received a complaint on Wednesday afternoon from the Walmart at 45415 Dulles Crossing Plaza, near the Dulles Town Center, regarding an abandoned cat.
