The owner of Chantilly Crushed Stone, an active quarry located to the north and south of Route 606, east of Route 28, has returned to a skeptical Loudoun County with a revised proposal for its planned 335-acre, mixed-use redevelopment. Within the next decade, Inova Loudoun Hospital will have two patient towers - both with helicopter landing pads and private patient rooms - as well as a lot more parking. Expanded surgery, obstetric and emergency department capabilities, including an ability to field trauma cases, will also be added at the Lansdowne facility.
