Security issues prompted one plane leaving the Southland to be grounded in Texas, while passengers aboard another plane were subjected to screenings after a safe landing in Seattle. A Delta plane that departed from Los Angeles International Airport today and was bound for Orlando, Florida had to land at Dallas-Forth Worth over a "security concern," according to broadcast reports.

A Delta Airlines flight on its way to Orlando, Fla., was diverted to Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Sunday afternoon for a security search, an airport spokeswoman confirmed. Delta Flight 1061 departed from Los Angeles International Airport at 10:30 a.m. PT and arrived at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, said spokeswoman Cynthia Vega.

According to various media and online reports, an Orlando-bound Delta flight from Los Angeles was diverted to Dallas this afternoon. According to the online flight-tracking site Flightstats.com, Delta Air Lines Flight 1061 had a scheduled departure time of 10:30 a.m. from Los Angeles International Airport and was scheduled to arrive in Orlando International Airport at 6:09 p.m. local time.
