A Reston teenager took window shopping to another level early Tuesday morning, driving his car through the glass showroom door of the local Ferrari dealership, say Loudoun County police. Douglas W. Rios, 19, was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny and destruction of property for driving through the door of the Ferrari of Washington dealership in Sterling, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The final phase of the Silver Line Metrorail extension to Dulles International Airport and into Loudoun County has been delayed for another year. Marcia McAllister, spokeswoman for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, said that stricter requirements for stormwater management caused much of the delay.

The first-ever locally run Prescription Drug "Take-Back" Day in Loudoun County on Saturday collected 1,160 pounds of unwanted and unused prescription drugs, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office announced. This is one of the largest amounts ever collected at the one-day event since the program was started in Loudoun five years ago.

Interest is so high that two local beekeeping clubs say they are being stretched to keep up with the demand. Introductory beekeeping classes offered in Loudoun and Prince William counties fill up quickly every year, and waiting lists carry over from one year to the next, beekeepers in both counties said.
