Indians throw shade at Athletics after tying their record win streak

theScore

Upon tying the American League record previously held by the 2002 Oakland Athletics for most consecutive wins with their 20th straight victory, the Cleveland Indians clapped back at the A's.

Put this one in the Did Not Age Well Hall of Fame, @athletics. https://t.co/GjOrqUACfNβ€” WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW (@Indians) September 13, 2017

"Cute winning streak, @Indians."

The Indians quoted a tweet sent by Oakland's Twitter account in July of 2016 - back when Cleveland had just wrapped up a 14-game win streak. Of course, the tweet didn't age well, as Cleveland tied the Athletics' 2002 'Moneyball' streak on Tuesday with their 20th consecutive win.

Invoking the powers of Scott 'Chris Pratt' Hatteberg was never supposed to come back to bite the Athletics.

I mean, at least the A's still have Hollywood - and Brad Pitt - on their side.
