Josh Gordon: Browns have best receivers in NFL

When someone thinks of a high-powered offense with talented receivers, the Browns normally aren't on the top of that list.

But Cleveland wideout Josh Gordon said the Browns not only have the top receivers, but the best receivers in the NFL.

"[The Browns] have the best receiving corps in the league, in my opinion, already, just based off of talent alone," Gordon told reporters during mandatory minicamp Tuesday. "So you put in the playbook and some guys that are hungry enough to go do it and hopefully you can go out there and show and prove that. That's just my opinion, but we're not short on talent at the wide receiver position at all."

It isn't just Gordon who believes the talent runs deep in Cleveland. New Browns receiver Jarvis Landry backed him up.

"He ain't lying," the former Dolphin said.

On top of Gordon and Landry, the Browns have Corey Coleman and new faces Ricardo Louis, Rashard Higgins and Jeff Janis.

Despite the talent, the Browns have had a cloud of doom hanging over them for years. Their quarterback situation is notorious and they have won only one game in the past two seasons.

But a new year could bring new changes, especially with rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield being taken first overall in the draft and running back Duke Johnson's big extension being signed this offseason.
