Summer Pool Bag Essentials You Can’t Go Without

Nothing screams summer like a trip to the pool. We’ve put together a list of everything you’ll need to make sure your pool bag is successfully stocked the next time you’re ready to head out for a swim.

We all need that perfect bag to bring with us on our pool getaways, trips to the beach and to fit our picnic lunches. It should be fashionable, while also being able to fit everything we need.

  • First Aid

Accidents happen, especially with the kids. So it’s always better to be prepared. This MediBuddy First Aid Kit is easy to bring on-the-go.

Wet bags are amazing. You can put all those wet bathing suits and wet clothes into the bag and then place it worry-free it into your beach tote- and nothing else will get wet.  The bags come in so many playful colors and patterns.

  • Cleansing Face and Hand Wipes

Basking in the summer sun? Then sweat is sure to follow. Be prepared with these Pacifica Pineapple Wipeout Oil Cleansing Face Wipes.

And to clean those sticky hands after a picnic, come prepared with Kleenex Fresh On The Go Moist Wipes.

  • Lip Balm

It’s important to keep your lips protected this summer. We often remember the sunscreen but forget the lip “screen.” The skin on the lips is actually thinner and more delicate than the rest of our face, so it needs to be protected against those rays. Make sure to keep your lips protected by using a lip balm with SPF, such as Sunbum SPF30 lip balm in various flavours or Labello sun Protect SPF 30 lip balm.

Sunscreen is a must before bracing the outdoors. This Neutrogena spray sunscreen for kids can be applied directly onto wet skin, making it quick and easy to apply for when the kids just want to get back into the water.

For babies, try this Coppertone WaterBabies pure and simple mineral based lotion. And if you prefer lotions, like I do, try this Aveeno Natural Protection Oil-Free Sunscreen Lotion.

  • Sunglasses

I like to keep a pair of fairly inexpensive “pool” sunglasses in my pool bag as there’s a chance they may get forgotten or scratched on the cement.

Why not go for these stylish oversized cateye polarized lenses or these summery glittered round pineapple sunglasses? As for the teens and kids, these stylish UV protected lenses and these Disney’s frozen sunglasses should do the trick.

  • Good Read

It’s always relaxing to sit back by the pool and read a good book. I recommend Amy Hatvany’s Outside the Lines. It is one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I’m a bookworm. If you’re looking for a heart-warming story that will stay for you forever, try Hannah’s Dream by Diane Hammond.

  • Snacks

Bringing along snacks not only saves you money from over-priced restaurants or food stands but also gives you the opportunity to have a nice picnic with family and friends.

Bring along some Annie’s Organic Variety Pack Cheddar Bunny & Bunny Graham Cracker Snack Packs. Another cool idea for a mix of goodies is this snack care package. And for the kids, you don’t want to forget your Mott’s Medley’s Fruit Snacks.

  • Pool Bag

If you’re looking for a fashionably new pool bag, look no further as we’ve put together a list of perfect beach bags that will fit all needs and occasions.
